This is especially true for a gaming laptop being used for games such as World of Warcraft, as this is a game that is quite CPU intensive, and benefits from a powerful processor with which to handle all the various monsters and NPC’s you encounter.
There are some great offerings by both Intel and AMD in this respect, with the AMD Ryzen 5 being particularly good, and Intel’s Core i5 and i7 ranges being more than capable of handling what WoW can throw at them.
RAM is the short-term memory crucial for applications to function. A good gaming laptop needs to have at least 8GB to be able to play most games at a satisfactory level, however, some laptops use 16GB for even more headroom and an ability to multitask or use various demanding applications simultaneously.
