IT-блоги Canonical Presence at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon NA: Keynote by Founder/CEO Mark Shuttleworth, Announcement of Ubuntu 12.10 Beta, and Operator Day 13 октября 2021 г.

Canonical, the makers of Ubuntu, will have a major presence at this year’s KubeCon + CloudNativeCon NA. The Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s flagship conference brings together adopters and technologists from leading open-source and cloud-native communities. It takes place Oct. 11-15 in Los Angeles and with a virtual option.

Ubuntu is the foundation for the three public cloud providers’ managed Kubernetes services – Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKS) – which is why it is the only OS that can seamlessly support workloads on any of them.

Canonical’s main activities at the conference will include:

Oct. 12 Operator Day. This is a virtual, interactive community event with talks and hands-on technical sessions by Canonical experts and guests. It will begin with a keynote by Canonical founder and CEO, Mark Shuttleworth, entitled “Kubernetes is taking the world by storm… so what’s next?”

The event also will feature a series of technical demos and user case studies by the Canonical team, customers, and partners showcasing the importance of model-driven operations. The latter enable enterprises to simplify application management regardless of the environment they run on – Kubernetes, virtual machines, or bare metal. In addition, five industry thought leaders from the CNCF, AWS, Google, and more, will join a panel discussion on the state and future of cloud-native and Kubernetes.

Operator Day goes from 8 a.m to 6:50 p.m. EDT on the 12th, and will repeat in two time-zone friendly blocks for EMEA and the Americas. Tickets are complimentary and available at
